Please keep your attendance up during the Summer months. We
will be having lots of special events during June and July, so keep your
attendance up so you don’t miss out on anything. We will be having a Koni Ice
truck here, weapons classes, board breaking class, a cookout and many other
special activities. Some of the activities and special classes will be announced,
and some will just be a surprise. Summer is a great time to make up classes you
might have missed during the school year or over the holidays.

*Kinder Karate (Business Campus Dr.) students schedule is
Tues. Thurs. & Sat. 11:00 – 11:45am and Mon. Wed & Fri. 4:00 – 4:45pm.
*We don’t change our schedule during the summer, these
classes are open year round, and junior students may attend the earlier class
times anytime they are out of school.
**Please remember that frequency of class
attendance is determined by what program you are currently on. Beginner and
Kinder Karate Programs are limited to 2
attendances per week. Black Belt Club is limited to 3 attendances per week.
Leadership Team is unlimited attendance. 2 or 3 attendances per week, seems to
work best in the long term. Coming twice in one day and more than 3 times in
one week is not recommended. Coming to back to back classes on the same day is
not recommended. Trying to cram all of
your make up classes into one week is also not recommended. It is better
to spread it out, so that knowledge and skills can soak in and take root,
instead of just trying to fill up an attendance card. Make sure that you and
your child are also practicing at home for at least 10-15 minutes, 2 times each
week (maybe less for children under 6yrs). After doing this for 40 years, we
often see students burn out when coming to class over 3 times a week. Our
Leadership Team unlimited attendance policy is great right before an exam or
while preparing for a Black Belt Exam, but should not replace practicing at
home, which is vital to a students progress. 100% enthusiasm and effort are
hard to muster every class if we are coming twice in one day or 5 times a week.
Please enjoy the journey and try not to dampen a long- term love of the great
benefits of karate by burning out too early.
