What – Defending Against Bully Situations
This
class will cover situations where a bully pushes you to the ground, applies a
head lock, gets on top of you and more. We will also cover some grappling moves
dealing with certain situations. We will learn how to get back to our feet
after being on the ground, how to get someone off when they are on top and how
to gain a dominate position. This class will be a ton of fun and very safe. We
look forward to having a great class.

What – Open Niseido Ju Jitsu Class
Instructor – Mr. Wommack
This is
the class to come to if you have ever been curious about Niseido Ju Jitsu. Everybody
that comes to these classes gets a lot out of them and enjoys training with
everybody. We will cover some of our basics as well as many grappling
techniques. We will cover the core of Niseido Ju Jitsu, which is the Goshin
Jitsu (self-defense). We will cover defending against pushes, punches, grips on
garments and wrist escapes. We look forward to seeing you there.

Attention Orange Belts
As an orange belt, please be aware that one of the
requirements to be able to test for your blue belt is that you have to be
sparring in class. Thus, you need safety gear. Minimum sparring equipment
consists of head, hand and foot gear along with a mouthpiece. Shin guards are
also highly recommended. One of the benefits of joining the Black Belt Club is
that you receive all of this safety equipment along with much, much more in
your Black Belt Club package. If you have received an invitation to join the
Black Belt Club, but you have not made an appointment to discuss joining with
Mr. Taylor yet, please simply contact the school office. It is at least worth
talking about. We look forward to hearing from you.

Bushido students or their parents may make their monthly tuition payment early, pay in advance or pay off their account in full at www.efconlinepayments.com. You would need to know your account number in order to do this. You may get your account number from the Karate school office.

Cardio Kickboxing Class Times at Business Campus Dr.
Morning
cardio kickboxing classes are now available at our Business Campus Dr. location
on Tuesday mornings at 9:00am. Anyone interested in trying the class, please
let us know, and we will schedule a FREE trial class for you! This is an adult
only class. Adult Leadership Team members, and parents of junior Leadership
Team members may attend these classes.
Bad Weather Policy
Anytime you are not sure whether the
Karate School will be open or not due to the weather, please simply call the
school to find out. There will either be someone there to answer your
questions, or there will be a very clear message on the answering machine
stating that we will be closed due to ice or snowy conditions. Just because
schools may be closed, doesn’t necessarily mean the Karate school will be
closed.
Aspiring
Filmmakers Wanted
Are
you an aspiring filmmaker? If so, we have a contest for you. Make a 30 second
film about the Bushido School of Karate and turn it in to us by Feb. 27th.
Be as creative as you want. We are looking for short films, which describe the
value of participating in martial arts at the Bushido School of Karate. Your
film can feature demonstrations, interviews, karate class footage….whatever it
takes to get your point across. Feel free to film at the school, outside the
school or at home, it’s up to you, the filmmaker. A committee will be created
to judge the films. The winner of the best short film will win a $100 gift
card. We will need at least 10 entries in order to hold the contest. All of the
entries will be shown at the Bushido School of Karate Film Festival (date to be
announced), and the winner of the contest will receive a $100 gift card. If you

Christmas Tree & Decoration Drive
